Are You Buying a Policy or An Agent?

When you are in the market for a Medicare Supplement or an Advantage Plan, what exactly are you buying? Are you just getting a policy or are you purchasing an agent? You should be purchasing an agent and the policy should come with it. Our approach is simple: it does not matter which policy you get, as long as it meets your needs and covers you to your satisfaction. We want you to only have to worry about one thing-if you get sick, getting better. You will have our office number, cell phone, and email. If you have a question, concern, or issue, you do not have to call the insurance company, you call us and we get the matter resolved.

Here is a scenario that took place a couple of weeks ago:

It was Saturday night; our client felt dizzy and went to the emergency room. Of course, before you are seen by a doctor in the ER, they are going to ask for proof of insurance. She gave the billing department her Medicare and Medicare Supplemental Plan. The lady in billing was new and looked over the list of approved insurances and did not see the Supplemental Plan on the list. The client called me and asked for my assistance. I spoke with the billing department at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night and explained the fact that if they accept Medicare they will accept the Supplement . She put me on hold and asked her supervisor if that was the case. Her Supervisor confirmed the information. She told the client everything was good to go.

Luckily, it was dehydration and nothing major, but the fact remained that we were able to take care of the billing issue, leaving her focus where it should be-getting better!

No one is going to get a better rate if they are quoting the same company. The rates are filed with your state. You will not get a better rate if you call the company directly. Most of the people out there are in a call center. After you talk to them and get enrolled, they are pretty much done with you. If you have a problem, call the insurance company. Not us; you are not getting a policy, you are getting an agent. Give us a call and let us see if we are a good fit. We do not do high pressure, nor do we try to push you towards a policy we want you to have. We will take the time to answer your questions and give you the information you will need to make the best decision for you.

Give us a call; you will be glad you did.

Do not buy a policy; buy an agent!

All the best,

Randy
