What Are Your Expectations?

I have a task for you.

I want you to think about a year from now, what would make you happy with the agent you chose? Most people are just thinking about the policy, but in my humble opinion the agent is just as important, if not more so. They need to be up to date on the policies and make sure you have all the information on your options, as we get older situations change. Medicare is going through changes and your agent should keep abreast of these changes. You should not hear from your agent just when he needs to make a dollar.

Here is what I will do for you in that year.

Before you enroll we will go over all aspects of Medicare. We will go over the good, the bad, and the ugly. We will take the time to make sure you know what is available to you and what will be a good fit for you. No gimmicks, no pressure, just facts. We work on your time and schedule. You are in charge!

After we get you enrolled, I will call you a few days later and see if you have any questions. I will stress to you if you have any questions, you call me not the insurance company. You will have my office number, cell phone, and email. If it is something we need to call the insurance company about we will call them together to get the question answered. The only thing I will not be a part of will be billing changes and password resets; that is between you and the insurance provider. Coverage questions, billing issues at the hospital, issues with Social Security or Medicare, those are things I will gladly help you with, I will not just give you a number and say good luck with that! The only thing I ask is if you do call me, you do not utter the phrase “I am sorry to bother you.” You will never be a bother and the only stupid question is the one you do not ask.

About a month before you go on Medicare, I will call you and make sure you have your cards and see if you have any questions. If for some reason you do not have your cards, I will track them down for you. You should have everything in place. It is important that you do not wait until the last minute to get this process going. The earlier you enroll the better for you. I will reach out to you and wish you a Happy Birthday!

I will get with you a couple of months later and let you know I am still here if you need anything. I am never more than a phone call, text, or email away.

I will get with you towards the end of Sept. and let you know of the changes to Part D or if you chose a Medicare Advantage plan, those changes for the following year. Again we want to make sure you have the best options for you. You can change your Medicare Advantage or Drug Plan for the following year Oct. 15th-Dec. 7th. If there has been a change to Part B deductible we will go over those changes as well. We will make any changes to your coverage during the Annual Enrollment Period, making sure you know all the ins and outs.

We will then talk again towards the end of December to make sure you have received your cards and all is good. I will reach out to you at when you are a few months out from your anniversary to let you know of any premium changes and once again, make sure you have the best plan for you at the best price. If you are comparing apples to apples, no agent will be able to beat another agent’s rate. Agent Blue will offer the same rate with Company ABC as I will be able to offer, if you called ABC yourself the rate will be the same.

I will not pester you. I will not be bothered by a phone call from you-it will be my pleasure to help in any way that I can. I will not try to overload you with information and try to squeeze every dollar from you. I will not try the high pressure sales or tell you a lie or try gimmicks to get you to sign up with me. I want to be your agent and hopefully, become your friend. We will make sure you are happy with the policy and your agent.

Now at the end of the year, would that meet your expectations? If so, give me a call and let me answer your questions about Medicare and all of your options. If you are new to Medicare or have been on it for a few years, I will be more than happy to talk with you and see if I can make your life easier when it comes to your Medicare coverage.

All the best,

Randy
