WHAT SHOULD YOU DO FIRST?
We talk to a lot of people that are getting near the time to enroll into Medicare and the question most ask is, “What should I do first?”
The answer is simple: interview agents. If you find the right agent, then the right plan will follow. You need to treat it as if it were a job interview, because it is. This is one of the most important decisions you are going to make as you enter the golden years. Now, most of the people offering Medicare help will tell you that selecting a policy is the most important thing. They are wrong! If you chose the right agent, then the right plan will come with them. It is a package deal. We at The HgO Group are not interested in selling policies, we want to get clients and build a relationship. There is a big difference!
Think of it this way, if you go buy a car, you have to talk to a salesman. No disrespect to car salesmen, by the way. So, you buy a car with the warranty and all. A month later the car breaks down. Who do you call? You call the salesman, and what will he tell you to do? Call the service department and they will get it fixed. He has done his part, he sold you the car! That is what these call centers and a great deal of the agents are going to tell you if you run into issues, or have a problem. They have done their part, they sold you the policy.
