Open Enrollment 2019

Hello all,
Long time no talk to! I hope all is good in your world. I hope you had a wonderful holiday.
Annual Enrollment period ended on 12/07/2018, but as of 01/01/2019 through 03/31/2019, we are now in the Open Enrollment Period. This is the time when you can switch your Medicare Advantage plan to another one, or go back to original Medicare and purchase a stand-alone Part D plan. You will probably have to go through Medical Underwriting in order to get your Supplement back.
What you cannot do is go from traditional Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan. You also are not able to switch your Part D plan unless you have a Special reason. The Special Enrollment Period, or SEP for short, is the time you have to make a change to your coverage. It has to be extenuating circumstances that can be documented. Moving can trigger a SEP. If you are diagnosed with certain conditions this to can trigger a SEP. If you are eligible for Medicaid, then that too will allow you to change your Medicare Advantage plan.
In most cases, you will have 60 days to make a switch or you will have exhausted your SEP. If you have any questions about this please give me a call. I would love to answer them and give you the peace of mind of knowing you have the right plan for you.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day and as always, do something nice for someone just because.
All the best,
