News About Diabetes-Related Meds

Good morning,
I hope all are safe and sane in these crazy times.
I do not know if you heard, but Medicare has announced a reduction in cost for Insulin and Diabetes related medications.
The plans will have a maximum $35.00 copay for a 30 day supply for insureds up to the dreaded donut hole. They have not determined the donut hole threshold for 2021, as of yet.
This is great news, as over 3 million people on Medicare are currently taking some form of insulin to manage their diabetes.
The following manufacturers are participating in the cost reduction:
● Eli Lilly and Company
● Novo Nordisk, Inc. and Novo Nordisk Pharma, Inc.
● Sanofi-Aventis U.S. LLC
Here is an up to date list of medications that will qualify for a maximum payment of $35.00:

Here is the link to CMS.gov to explain everything, please keep in mind it is a government entity so they do not get right to the point:

Please give us a call if you have any questions or if you are interested in having a conversation about your options and coverage.
As always, do something nice for someone just because.
